Quote:
ROME (AP) - Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne was to lay out a settlement proposal over an options dispute with U.S. auto giant General Motors at an extraordinary board meeting Sunday, an indication that the protracted wrangling between the two carmakers may soon be over.

Marchionne was set to explain to board members a pact negotiated in meetings in the United States with GM officials, said Fiat spokesman Franco Sodano. He did not elaborate.
