Re: spied 2010 GMc Sieera shows off new perforated grille

The wheels are an improvement but not much.

The frame doesn't look different to me.

I hope that lowest plastic air valance can come off.

The mirrors look the same (no lights, no power fold, no power extension)

Remember guys, nobody said this was the exact truck to debut for the 2011 model year. How do we know that they don't plan on making any more minor changes such as a different mirror.

I don't care much for the grill in the Sierra, but with the red GMC in the middle, it can grow on me.

Re: spied 2010 GMc Sieera shows off new perforated grille

Glad to see that it's getting a new grill for it's fifth year of production. Woohoo! The busier grill, and the abundance of white below the headlights, makes the front end look "squished". Then there's the low front bumper, and the ridiculous height of the cab/bed in relation to the frame...

I hope the new grill doesn't feel like the Terrain's, which feels soft and cheap--sorta like that orange plastic fencing used in construction.

It may rock under the sheetmetal, but they haven't gone far enough on the outside to make any splash whatsoever IMO.

Re: spied 2010 GMc Sieera shows off new perforated grille

To answer some of your questions, the 2011 Sierra and Silverado do in fact have a 100% all new frame.

The current HD's have a solid 4 bar black grill, this is now a perforated 3 bar.

The mirror on this one is the basic camper side mirror, OF COURSE their are other ones available, as there is now, including power folding, extending, and lighted.

The lower air valance does come off, but it looks better with it on. Trust me. And it is an aid in MPG.

There will be a Denali 2500 coming out with a diesel.

The 2011 Diesel will, and I qoute, "Match or beat the new Ford diesel in every category". No joke.

That grille is nothing an aftermarket billet grille won't fix.

The only part of the valance that I would want to come off is the part that looks duct-taped on.

There are other mirrors available but I want factory power fold/extend ones with lights.

Anything to share on the new chassis? Is this truck in the pics riding on the new frame? I still see the drop-down in the frame under the cab. How about a beefy coil-over front suspension?

Denali Diesel? That'll be $65,000...no thanks

Yes this truck is on the new frame. I have ni idea if there is any suspension changes.

This looks to be a basic equipped truck, hence the basic mirrors...there are "factory" power fold/extend mirrors available on pretty much every trim of both GM trucks, light or heavy duty. Go look at the dealer lots.

I'm talking about power fold/extend towing mirrors. I know about the other little ones.

These "basic" tow mirrors are what should come on every HD truck.

I just think they missed out on making a bigger splash than Ford on this one. They need to beef em up.
