information of the DIC?

Hi, noob here,

I have never owned a fullsize gm truck, and noticed on one that it shows engine hours. Is this something that is cumulative and unchangeable from the manufacturer or something that is reset from time to time, like when disconnecting the battery?

thanks

Re: information of the DIC?

I have a 03 Silverado, the (hours) read out will not reset (battery aside....But since the OD mileage is also there in the DIC, I would bet that even with a dead battery, it would still be there (and not reset to 0 hrs)......

Re: information of the DIC?

It's the same as the mileage saved in the BCM. You cannot reset it.
