Edmunds: 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Source: Edmunds.com
Moving up the redesign of the TrailBlazer should help Chevrolet stay competitive in a market segment that thrives on fresh designs and innovative features. In a rush to get high-profit new models to market in a hurry, GM has bumped up the production schedules of nearly all of its SUV redesigns of the next two years. Leading the company's midsize SUV offensive will be a fully redesigned version of the TrailBlazer, which will likely be launched in July of 2007. Rumor has it that GM is considering killing off the long-wheelbase version of the TrailBlazer, instead adding a third row of seats to the short-wheelbase version. No matter what form it arrives in, though, the next-generation TrailBlazer will feature a radically different interior than its predecessor. Also expect to see some upgrades to the vehicle's 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder. GM may equip the short-wheelbase TrailBlazer with a 5.3-liter V8 as well. |

Re: Edmunds: 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Here is some more info from Edmunds on the 2007 Cadillac SRX:
Cadillac has done well so far with the SRX, but it knows that the luxury segment demands consistent upgrades to stay near the top. The scheduled major overhaul for 2008 has been pushed back and the V-series high performance version of this SUV has been cancelled, but a moderately updated version is still on for model year 2007. The changes will mostly be limited to cosmetic features, with an instrument panel redesign and an upgrade of the interior materials, which should include the use of higher quality plastics in the cabin. |

This would most likely allow them to close the Oklahoma City plant. |

Re: Edmunds: 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
The long wheelbase version is so ugly, I hope they do axe it.
So I'm guessing the GMT360 platform is getting a slight stretch then, otherwise I don't see how there'd be enough for three rows as the SWB stands now.

Re: Edmunds: 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Im glad to see GM is finally updating there products and not leting them stay the same for seven eight years. Products need midlife updates after 3 or 4 years and major/redesign after 5 or 6 years after they are fisrt introduced. Looks like Gm is starting to get the message

Re: Edmunds: 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Maybe GMT360 will have the sliding rear seat like the Nox and MAXX do. If they did that on the 2nd row seats and then added a 3rd row also it could make the 3rd row tolerable for adults, moreso than some other SWB 3rd row SUVs. Could be interesting.

Re: Edmunds: 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
That TB has got to be longer, no way a 3rd row will fit. So i guess it will become a "medium wheelbase" Maybe they will do something innovative to make it flexible and comfortable.
