The EL looks so disoriented and out of proportion. Not so much in that picture, but in some of the release photos of the new Expedition.

I really don't like the ELs looks so I don't think Chevy will have to worry about losing any sales.

I think its FUGLY, but anything is better than that Titanic load of crap called the Excursion. But alteast Ford had enough sense to put a diesel option in that load of crap.
pssst.... GM......PUT A DIESEL IN THE SUBURBAN. Get a clue GM, people want diesels!

People are gping to buy the EL, there is no doubts on that and it's going to come straight from GM's market share since GM makes the only other full size suv. The suburban finally has competion. This market isn't going to grow any, that much we know since gas is going to go through the roof again this summer and every summer from now until god knows when. So since market isn't going to grow and people out there are going to buy the EL, it's coming right from the suburban's market share.

You have alot of faith in Ford don't you? The EL will take some market share away from GM but how much? Who knows, only time will tell.

It's not that hard to figure out, there have been people out there that have wanted a smaller full size extended suv like the EL for years. The excursion was way to big, expedition to small. Now they can fill the void. It's going to sell and steal market share away, the market isn't growing any.

This rellay isn't faith, it's commen sense. There is no extended armada, seqouia, just the suburban and the EL and their going to duke it out for sales.

The EL might take some 1500 Suburban sales, but it won't replace the Excursion for the user who tows big trailers.

Re: Chevy Suburban Now Has True Competition

The wheelbase of the El and new 2007 Chevy Suburban is around the same. The El is 131 Ft and the Suburban is 130 ft. I am still looking for the overall length, but I am going to guess it is the same length as the El. So there is nothing in between the Tahoe/Expedition and the Burban/El. This won't take much of any sales of the 'Burban. The 'Burban looks tough, without going over the top, and the proportions are better.

The burban has always been a good looking well proportioned SUV. The new one is no exception and fills out the new lines better than the tahoe and new expedition eL.

I went to the auto show, the eL wasnt that great, looked funky.
