    Build Plant Codes

Is it possible to find out the "location" for each of these "Build Plant codes"?

For instance, where is "Build Plant" 1AZ03?
    Is this Pontiac, Michigan?
    Thanks in advance.

All Piazzas were assembled at Isuzu's plant in Fujisawa, Japan.

    Re: Build Plant Codes

RE: Build Plant, etc. Question (VIN):
Have decoded VIN on '09 Pontiac down to the regular stuff, incl. Z build plant, Fort Wayne, IN. New to this forum (best I've seen) - last 6 digits Vibe 4-D Hatchback 2.4L are 437533. I guess that's the number of Pontiacs built in '08, as this one has a decal on the driver's door jamb saying 07/08 build date. My question is is there is a way to tell when the Camry (I guess) engine was dropped in the engine bay (date). Reason being, improved piston assemblies were used after a certain date to control a high oil consumption problem. I'd rather have the Regal GS 4banger in this...L8r (wife's car). The better parts were used after VIN 2T1#E40E#96010829 (a toyota vin), in the T. Matrix twin, so comparing the dates might be fun. Any ideas on a better way to figure this out until I can get the '11 GS or '12 ATS engine? (kidding). Calling the Plant ever work? Car does use about a quart/1200 mi. Any help appreciated.

    Re: Build Plant Codes

I bet they were used after a certain VIN number. I'd google it and the chances are high you are going to get an answer.
