Which is why my first recommendation is that he attempt to get the Dealer to warranty the blade.

I am very familiar with wiper blades, the connectors and adapters that allow them to fit, most look and work like #$%^&!

I wouldn't want to put the combination of adapters, and inferior fit and function of a cheap Aftermarket Blade on my new +/- $40K truck.

Good dealer! I'm sure the NAPA blade looks and works just as good as OEM.
Just that time again to ignore certain people. I'm certain they will continue to try and instigate and antagonize while throwing up their arms saying they did nothing but are here on a civil basis. Not worth the time seeing how some just seem to know all.

Just a quick note. On my 2012, I tried winter blades that had the adapters for the newer arms and they were terrible at wiping ("old" style blade in a boot). These windshields are more curved or something it only put cleaning pressure on the center of each blades and not the outers. The "old" style blades don't contour the windshield nowhere near enough to work right.

The beam blades clean way better, and they are more or less a year round blade.

Thanks for your personal feedback, you are exactly right, the new OE "Flat Blade" technology has a lot more arm pressure, than a system designed for conventional blades.

So when you essentially put "old-tech" blades on a "new-tech" application, with the advent of often complicated, universal, multi-use many arms to one blade adapter, you get a crappy wipe, despite what bballr thinks, and even if you do get a good wipe, the rubber on the blade gets smoked way too quick, especially on the winter blades.

The biggest problem with your truck (and mine) is the wiper blade doesn't make good contact in the passenger lower corner, because of the curve of the windshield, weak contact = poor wipe and icing almost immediately in snowy conditions.

The drivers blade doesn't exhibit the same problem because it goes from the center of the cowl to the Driver Side A-Pillar, the easiest fix would have been to put opposing wipers, but GM didn't re-design the wipers on the K2XX, basically lifted it from the GMT900. If the K2XX windshield were flatter, and not as curved at the corners it would be better too. The other option is to put a 18" or 20" on the Passenger Side, which helps, but shrinks your wiping area, so then its best to put a 24" on the Driver Side.

Thanks Ed..... I am going to try to get it covered under warranty. The plastic clips on the top of the blade broke off. So its not a wear out issue like you said. I called the dealer and they want 23.00 for a new one.

Because I've lived in the deep, deep South for so long now, I was out of practice last week when we got that freak winter storm. I forgot to raise my Yukon's wiper arms before the ice storm hit. I was lucky they didn't break when I tried to free them. I've been living down here too long!
