I don't have a Silverado (new or old) but I use bosch icon wiper blades on all my cars. No streaks.

Given your back story...dedicated winter blades would be something to think about.

Bosh Icon, Rain X Latitude, or OEM.

Had an ice storm today also in VA. Bosch had no problem clearing the ice.

    Re: 2014 Silverado wiper blades

The "pinch mount" wiper blades that are on the 07 and up GM and other cars are hard
to find ! I went crazy trying to find a set of the rubber covered blades for my then new 07
    gmt-900.

Try your local NAPA store as thats where I got mine.

Forget those other "fancy" brands IMO they aren't any better that the GM stockers or the
    NAPA replacements.

I've got Trico blades on my truck now and I love them. Bosch blades aren't bad, I had them on my last car.

I'd go back to the dealer, but first attempt to get it covered under warranty.

They'll tell you wiper blades are a wear item and not covered, then tell them, they didn't wear out, they broke, that is called defect, which no matter the part is covered.

If they don't budge, then just buy one there, and as you can see these aren't your fathers wiper blades, expect to pay about $30 for one.

    Good Luck!

    Ed

Trico use to supply NAPA Branded Blades, but that business recently switched to ANCO. You can now get/find Trico at O'Reillys.

The winter blades do work great, but they are made from a different rubber and have a different wipe-edge, they'll last about 60-90 days depending on the amount of use.

Anything that has a solid beam. They will all work just as good. Most you can even replace just the actual rubber wiper strip.

Some people just don't take the hint. Ignore is such an amazing feature. Yes, I know Ed753 will continue to try to interact. I just simply don't care about it anymore. It used to be fun to argue with a middle aged man who assumes he can do no wrong but these days it's just not worth it.

    1) The connector is completely different from a traditional/conventional wiper blade.

    2) False

    3) Yeah, some you can, but not this time, his blade broke.

The Valeo "Pinch-Tab" Design (IMHO) is the biggest POS, I have no idea why GM stuck with them, they took them off the GMT900 SUV's after about a year, they were so bad, but left them on the trucks.

There are adapters included that will work. No need to pay OEM prices.

    Re: 2014 Silverado wiper blades

I will note that the dealer wanted the SAME price as NAPA for blade for my 07 truck.
    $16 bucks each...........NAPA was closer!
