As far as I know, GM hasn't even confirmed the bore/stroke of the 4.3L or the 5.3L, so we can't assume it has the same potential for airflow as a 4.06-inch bore of the LT1.
    They are all 3.62" stroke.

I've already comment on the other engines, you are close on the 6.2L, but the others a bit optimistic......................

I still say that a 4.3L V6 will have to make over 300 hp to not be a joke. I know truck engines are tuned differently, but the 3.6L from 5+ years ago makes over 300 hp. I expect the 4.3L to make at least 300 hp.

If that's the case, it puts the 4.3L at a 3.905 bore, which is appropriate because it makes it 3/4 of an LS1. I had hoped they'd all go to larger bores and vary the stroke. It seemed to me that would have made it easier to design combustion chambers and injector placement. Plus, a 4.06x3.15 5.3L would have been the hotrod engine of the future.

There's a press release out there somewhere in ether. It tells how the common stroke allows them to use the same crank on the V8s and just cut the crank by 1/4 on the V6.

With DI engines, the high compression already pushes up the potential for NOX smog particle formation - a super short stroke and big bore are also bad for NOX so that would be a bad combo for passing emissions.

Well nothing to do with the 4.3 but I also think 5.3 will be more than the 5.0 from Ford because the 5.3 will be the max tow engine in LT/SLE trim trucks. I just really doubt GM having different max tow ratings with the max tow package.

Hey FISH, thanks for that. So sometime this month the speculation will end. The IDES of March perhaps? Et tu, Chevrolet?

If only the connecting rod journal positions were the same rotational spacing on a 6 and 8 cylinder................
