Is someone going to post or link the order guide when it comes available, or will there be a big write up or something here on Insiders when the info is released.

Re: 2009 Silverado/Sierra

I am also hoping to see the six speed transmissions. However, because this has taken so long I probably will wait to see what Ford and Dodge come to the table with. Hell, I may even have to buy another Titan if they keep building these trucks so low to the ground with NASCAR style splitters and taking all the "truck" out. Splitters and air dams are for race and performance CARS not trucks...
For 2009 I would like to see a true Z-71 package(more than just a decal) and the six speeds which will increase fuel economy across the board. I really like the GMT-900's. They really have everything a truck owner could want when it comes to amenities. However, they have overlooked the most important ingredient, the drivetrain.

How much do you think they'll do with sales like they are? GM isn't gonna put a ton of money into these trucks like they used to, especially not something that will lose any MPG.

Re: 2009 Silverado/Sierra

I have heard that the 6 speed automatic will make it into the '09 1500's, but it might not happen until the middle of the model year. I hope they do something with the Chevy HD front bumber. Seems like 1/2 the ones I see are already broken. Really looks bad having such a weak bumper on a HD truck.

You are right. They probably will not lose many sales from this. The six speeds will increase sales in my opinion. There are a whole bunch of people who are waiting to buy a GMT-900, but not until they have two more gears. I can't wait to test drive one.
On top of that they will continue to get hammered in the press. My latest Truck Trend rated the Tahoe/Yukon LAST behind the Sequoia, Armada, and Expedition in that order. They cited the interior was not as good as the others(I disagree with that) and talked about how the 4 speed hunted for gears endlessly and was down on power. Not good for a vehicle that was completely redesigned last year.

There it is! Was not supposed to be up until Monday. Almost no changes to the HD's. Keep checking though. Updates are common.
