Yeah, they're killing us. Figure it should be soon. Production starts July 23. Still have not seen STS pricing either for 2008.

i've seen people cruising in it already though. I've seen both the STS and the new CTS with regular plates cruising around. THe sts looks very sexy with the vents on the side, the CTS is out of this world, beautifull. I stood next to it with mine and mine looked like borat's taxi compared to it

There's a lot GM hasn't told us about the CTS... We're still finding out the features on the thing. On the CTS's blog they are still testing it.

I can't wait to find out the new CTS pricing, I'm very curious to see what it starts at.

They are testing still, but they also just had their 100% ride

Re: Will GM ever release 08 CTS pricing???

I'm hoping I can get into a new 2008 cts with awd 18 inch rims automatic transmission and possibly the 300hp engine for under 40 grand.

I've convinced my lovely wife yesterday after she test drove a 2007 cts that the new 2008 cts would be better suited to our families needs than the enclave.

She's hooked ..the only think I am concerned about is does it look as good in person as it did at the NY autoshow.

When I saw the car there I was absolutely sold on it.

For those that have seen it on the street does it in fact look better in person than the recent photos on the net.

I'm not quite as impressed in the two dimensional shots we've seen in some of the photos and Aprils NY autoshow is a somewhat of a distant memory.

I believe the curvature of the sheet metal in person is lost when brought to two dimensional photos.

I have given my wife quite the sales pitch that the new cts transcents its recent photos at the cadillac site and that in person the form is truly something that needs to be seen in person.

I have the dealership calling me as soon as the first car arrives so she can view it in person and we can order.

Any of you guys ordering on line with a friends and family pricing or are you just planning MSRP at the local dealer for delivery?

Thanks in advance..

This new CTS is a landmark vehicle for cadillac if my memory at the NY show serves me correctly.

Any guess on BASE CTS AWD 18 inch high polished rims , six speed paddle shift automatic tranny and 300hp motor MSRP? Thats all I want as far as options. (from what I can tell so far)

"I believe the curvature of the sheet metal in person is lost when brought to two dimensional photos."

This was enabled by the addition of a 2" wider track . The fender forms add a sculpted look to the bodyside that the current CTS lacked . If you sight down the bodyside from a rear 3/4 view , the two cars look totally different . In traffic and on the road the sculpted areas around the wheel arches really look distinctive and give the new car a more substantial look .

I figure this:

Base 3.6L $34k
AWD 1.90k
Auto 1.2k
DI 2.0k
18 Rims 1.8k (package includes a lot more than wheels - can't get 18's without other stuff)
Total 40.9k

That's MSRP - I would imagine you will be able to do better than MSRP - regardless that it is a new car or not.

I plan at ordering one (unless they find the exact one I want - have not decided what options until I see the prices). Hope to pay supplier price without using the forms. I can get supplier price through my company but then I lose the GM Card points I have ($2500).

Re: Will GM ever release 08 CTS pricing???

Thanks for the great info!

I'm glad to hear the estimated pricing as well as the insight given by those who have seen it recently on the streets testing.

Aprils been quite a few months and quite honestly some of the Cadillac website photos really aren't doing my memory justice.

I remember it to be a lot more stunning at the NY autoshow then cadillacs website.

I'm glad to hear your in agreement...

I remember reading the german and Japanese firms were also shocked at what shapes and compound curves GM was able to mold into the sheetmetal when they saw it at the show.

I believe this new CTS to really be the beginning of the resurgence of cadillac to "world leadership status"

I was that impressed at the NY show!
