    Verano Turbo has arrived!

A while back, there was some discussion about when the turbo Verano was supposed to arrive on dealer lots. My local dealer is showing in stock a 2013 Verano Premium for $30,985. The one Premium they have is only $1,000 more than the 2013 Leather group with sunroof that they have in stock. They have one other 2013 Verano, a Convenience group.

It's a tempting vehicle even though I'd prefer an AWD mid-sized wagon. To me its strong points are that it's a Buick with its implied quietness, cushy ride and impressive power to weight ratio. I also like the dashboard vs the Ford Fusion with the LCD display and the push button start. Oops, I forgot, they put that weird push button start in the Verano. Haha.

when im able to replace the Cruze as my DD, this would be the ideal car. Looks great and the turbo is so so tempting. Im thinking the mocha bronze would do nicely..

Seems to me the smooth contours of Buicks would seem compatible with a lot of colors to me. I don't understand sometimes the 50 shades of gray point of view.

If I could afford a new car right now, I think a loaded Verano Turbo would be my top choice. Just wish the rear end was a bit more tasteful. Either that or a Camaro Convertible.

Dovetonsils, thanks for kicking off this great thread! I just double checked my resources to be sure, and unfortunately I don't have any additional information to add about an upcoming Verano at this time. However, I'm more than happy to keep checking my GM resources for updates, so please send me a private message whenever you would like me to check for the latest information available to me!

    Best,

    Re: Verano Turbo has arrived!

Tomorrow I get RID of my 2011 Red tintcoat Chevrolet Cruze LTZ RS with the JERKY transmission and lack of acceleration at times and pick up my fully loaded 2013 Crystal Red Buick Verano Turbo! I HOPE it's a better shifting car than my poor 2 year old Cruze with 13,300 miles! GM would do NOTHING to fix it. Their final conclusion last week- "operating as designed"! I THINK it's time CEO Dan Akerson gets on that TV show UNDERCOVER BOSS so he can see the REAL problems his customers are having because at the rate he's going, he might not be CEO much longer! I am SURE if one of his children had a Cruze like mine with that transmission, he would NOT want them driving it! Mark my words- sooner or later, things are going to catch up to him!

    Re: Verano Turbo has arrived!

Picked up my RED Verano Turbo on 1/31 and have been able to drive it for a FEW days before becoming HOMEBOUND because of this 36 inches of snow here in So. CT! I am having Verano withdrawal right now! I COULD have driven it today for the first time since last Thursday, but it was so clean and the roads were all wet from what little snow melted and I didn't want to get it dirty. I used my 2004 Chevy Aveo instead!

The little that I have driven it, I have to say that I love it! VERY quiet. VERY comfortable, form fitting seats ( compared to the Cruze) and VERY FAST! You just touch the gas and you are G O N E! I just PRAY that I have NO issues with it after coming out of a car with issues! Stay tuned!

Get it! You WON'T regret it! Heated steering wheel. Blind side warning signals built into the side mirrors that light up if someone is in your blind spot. Rear backup camera. Projector beam headlights. Sport pedal kit. Door sill plates. Dual zone climate control. Chrome dual exhausts. Spoiler kit. Push button start. Probably more. One drive and I think you'll be convinced especially once to step on the gas!

    Re: Verano Turbo has arrived!

About 48 days with my 2013 Verano Turbo and NO PROBLEMS! Imagine that! It shifts fine. It goes when I step on the gas AND it has NO antifreeze smell like the Chevy Cruzes! To be fair, I "ONLY" had the crappy shifting transmission and lack of acceleration. I did NOT have the antifreeze smell that has been affecting the Cruzes from 2011 to the present 2013 models! GM says they're working on it!

I now have about 1,400 miles on it. I LOVE this turbo. It's great for merging on the highways and for escaping those who like to tailgate and other slow pokes who don't know how to drive! THIS is the way a NEW car is supposed to behave! During this 39 month lease, the only things I should see the dealer for are oil/filter changes PERIOD! IF I do have a major problem with this car and GM does NOT step up to the plate like they did NOT do with my 2011 Cruze, this will be the LAST GM car I ever buy! There are PLENTY of other choices out there that I can pick from if I have to!

Thanks. It's really a fun car to drive. I am STILL learning that Nav/Radio setup! OMG! Do we really need all this info in a car with the abundance of smart phones around?

It is a very fun car, Bob, and that 2.0T is a hoot.

I enjoy the Turbo so much in my Regal, older version and all. It's so much fun to merge onto the highway with that surge.
