Re: Is there any Cadillac debut this year?
My guess is the new CTS will debut sometime this year. Not sure if anything else will or not.

Re: Is there any Cadillac debut this year?
The Escalades were the debut for Detroit. We all saw photos in November, but the vehicles themslves weren't shown until now.
I do not think we'll see the next CTS before next years NAIAS. The current car is still selling very well and GM may not want to endanger that. If Cadillac has anything up its sleeve for Chicago or New York this year, it's probably a close-to-production concept of what's been called the BRX. The smaller, Theta platform based crossover.

Re: Is there any Cadillac debut this year?
Please have BLS for Europe only. I hope they show the BRX concept and maybe a ULS or an Exotic car concept.

I believe the BRX is coming to NYIAS...possibly, not 100% sure on that. Besides that. No.

Re: Is there any Cadillac debut this year?
well with lexus' new extended LS debuting here, you would think Cadillac has a ULS coming soon (say the next 3 years) to re-establish itself as a top flight luxury maker. As of now, I can only count 4: M-B (s-class) BMW (7series), Audi (A8/a8L), and now Lexus (LS....extended lol). Caddy is in the in-between group *(its got the sclade and the xlr and the v-cars) but to get to the next level and be a tier one lux auto maker in my opinion, its needs the ULS or equivalent. A cts coupe, convertible, srx-v, and a slcade-v wouldn't hurt also. Not to mention a 6series/M6 CLS competitor. In the next level down below caddy you have infiniti, acura, volvo...and then woeful lincoln. THen...dare I say, Buick (if they build the enclave WITH the second row center stack...the really will be able to be considered a "luxury automake". Comments??? Anyone?

Re: Is there any Cadillac debut this year?
From word of my father (Works for caddy), the CTS is most likely to appear at the NY Javits Center Auto Show and will be available in the summer-fall of 06. The STS-V is nearly available as well as the Escalade. The XLR-V comes in Feb. and the ESV-EXT in may.
PS: Edmunds never lies and has some info on the CTS! Last edited by JJSoCrazy : 01-14-2006 at 06:33 PM. |

Re: Is there any Cadillac debut this year?
What I'd like to see from Cadillac is a "Flagship" Sedan. Something with a V10 or V12 DOHC Engine, a 6-Speed Tansission, Crazy Expensive Interior with lots of options. RWD of course, and price it around $100k. Basically I want a Caddy that can compete with the LS, S-Class, and the 7-Series.

However,I'd like to see both 6 and 7spds in there and a V8 and V12 combination, with a V12Twin-TUrbo for the V. I want a no-holds-barred interior. Reclining rear seat option. Quad-zone climate control. RWD and AWD. Rear-headrest DVD option. 5yr/50K warranty. Free scheduled maintenance during the warranty period. Price it between $90-120K.
