Spotted 2008 CTS in Ontario

Coming off the highway I knew an 08 CTS passed me. I saw the porthole on it. That car got off at my exit.

My god it looks mean. It definitely looks bigger than the current CTS.

My question is, these cars are not out yet, are they? I haven't seen any at the local Caddy dealer here in town.

Interesting. Regular Ontario plates, not dealer plates. Someone got one early. Unless it's someone who works in Detroit but lives on the Ontario side, maybe some GM engineer.

I've seen a white one, and a silver one driving around Oshawa within the last few weeks...

Am I the only one bugged by the fact that the STS brake lights consist of 2 rows of LEDs that are not parallel? I see GM fixed that issue with the new CTS.

It seems to me that the tail lamps would look much nicer if they were not just two rows of LED's illuminating the "signature" tail lamps--something more on the order of the illumination of the entire lens, similar to the reflector-like illumination provided in the '00 to '05 DeVilles (not the design/shape of the lamp itself). Of course, I won't hold this minor criticism against such a fine overall car!

P.S.--Barry Bonds just hit #755 (now tied)!!!

hmmm, I'm not liking those giant wheel wells, makes the car look like it's wearing a skirt or something, or like a truck. From those pics I'm kinda disappointed, it looks very chunky and inelegant.

Very nice. Love the added musculature from the wheel wells.

It would be cool if, when the brakes were applied, the LEDs lit upward one by one progressively like a graphic equalizer instead of all at the same time.

Re: Spotted 2008 CTS in Ontario

Has anyone else noticed? In the second image the brakes are being applied, but the CHMSL isn't working.

It looks to be an AWD model, too. The badge on the right reads CTS 4.
