I was driving to Roosevelt Field Mall (Garden City, NY) when I thought I saw a Blue CTS...as I got closer though I noticed the wider lower stance, and thought it was a CTS (I did not expect an STS to be out on the streets of Long Island so fast, then I immediately realized it was an STS! It was a Blue V8 RWD Sedan. (It was turning right from Hilton Ave onto Stewart Ave). I was able to pull next to it at a stop light I honked and the driver did not notice me....I honked again and he looked at me...it was an older man in his late 60's early 70's (Proving that Caddy's A&S and the new RWD V8 Scheme wont shy away older buyers). I told him BEAUTIFUL CAR! and he just raised his hand in acknowledgement...I was truly in awe in how beautiful this car is in real life!

There are 5 STS's on the lot by me at the largest Caddy dealer on the east coast. All of them are sold. They range from a base 3.6 to a loaded "gold edition" AWD Northstar model.
There was one with the dark brow/tan interior with wood trim and DVD nav...red exterior...a deffinate awesome combo.
There was also a CTS-V in the new red! It looks great in read, but black is still what I would pick.

I saw a black one Sunday, in traffic, going past Grant Park here in Chicago.

The big Cadillac grill stood out loud and clear in traffic. Couldn't miss it, couldn't mistake it for anything else. The car looked bigger and longer and sleeker and more impressive than I'd thought. Excellent first impression.

Now I want to see one up close.

Yeah, I also experienced my first time (yesterday). It was everything I hoped for and more! It was at a dealer, so I got a nice close look. Damn sexy from every angle. It was black... looked fantastic. I like the sides.... and while I still like the CTS, the STS should help move Cadillac design away from the slab-sided look, which won't stay fresh forever. Laughed when I saw the tag in the windshield though... $1045 a month, with $8000 down! ACK! I pay half that for rent... guess I'm not getting an STS anytime soon!

(That's in Canadian dollars, BTW)

I've seen a couple so far. On Saturday one passed me, very sharp. My father has been seeing them as early as last April.

My local Cadillac dealer has a ton of CTS-Vs but not a lot of CTSs, which I see many of out on the streets. There's probably 6 STSs at the dealer and I'm hoping to see one on the road soon!

This raises an interesting question: does anyone know how the CTSv is selling?

Working around Detroit, there are many STSs on the road. I still have trouble distringuishing the STS from the CTS at a glance, although I'm getting better.

Looking at the trunk, STS has the nameplate on the left, CTS on the right. That's what I look for. Form the front, I just flip a coin and guess.
