Saw an Enclave

My family and I were walking down the boardwalk (we have an interest in the Acadia) when I see some familiar tailights, but they didnt look correct - I then notice the back hatch is a bit different and get the Holy ****, an Enclave!

My wife had only seen th einternet pics but in person in the Platinum color it looked fantastic! I think we are not on the Enclave list vs Acadia (though I do want the HUD ) - Checking the internet a few dealers have them and $500 off MSRP is all they are offering at this time and not many are around.

Pictures dont do this thing justice - The Outlook and Acadia dont look much different to me, but the Buick def has a few extras which seperate it from its siblings

Re: Saw an Enclave

And? I saw one yesterday. There are a few of them out now in the world now.

There won't be much of a rebate as long as demand stays high.

Re: Saw an Enclave

I saw my first Enclave here in Tampa a few days ago....looks great in real life! But I was struck by how BIG it is....I pictured it a bit more lithe and nimble looking....I wonder how many MPG it gets.

Re: Saw an Enclave

I'm shopping for a new family car. I'm looking at zn enclave cxl AWD or CTS AWD

With that I've driving the Enclave CXL and its quite the vehicle. A true luxury Buick done very very well.

Quiet, smooth and beautiful. Just a bit larger a vehicle than my family needs.

Still in the running and once I personally view the new Cadillac CTS in person I will decide between the two.

1500 off msrp of both vehicles is fair.

Price is about the same.

Both great vehicles.

No, paying MSRP to GM is fair. The Enclave and CTS are some of the first no excuse vehicles GM has put out in years.

GM deserves MSRP for these vehicles, especially since they are priced lower then the competition to begin with.

I've seen quite a few Enclave's in person now. Truly a beautiful looking automobile. I've never seen a better looking crossover.

I agree with you but I can get 1500 off msrp and I think its a pretty good idea to take the discount.

Great vehicles for sure but a little negotiation makes sense when the dealers seemed amicable to do it.

Edmunds.com is pretty cool.

The dealers email the discount they are offering on the vehicle you optioned up.

The CTS although not ready on edmunds I made the offer and the dealer took it.

Worked for me.

I didn't mean to say you should not take a discount if it is available. Rather, it would be ignorant for the average car buyer to expect such a large discount on these 2 vehicles in the first year of production when they will both be hot.

Re: Saw an Enclave

I've checked out an Enclave and they are great vehicles. I sat in every possible place they were all comfortable, except the middle of the 3rd row (just a little too flat), but thats how all middle seats are. Being Buick, it could stand to have some LED brake lights, or at least accent lights. Bluetooth.

And the only true gripe I have with it, is the rear a/c of all the Lambdas. You can not make it any cooler than the front passengers, only 10 degrees hotter and control the fan speed. Stupid considering the Tahoe/Burban have been able to control their rear temperature 10 years ago.

My mom is looking at one to downsize into from a Suburban.

Re: Saw an Enclave

The enclave is an amazing value. The vehicle was exactly what a growing family needs. Its quality was quite impressive.

If I had one negative on the 7 passenger Enclave, it was that

I don't need that big a vehicle for my families needs.

I would hope that down the road GM might make a X3 sized Enclave. That would work for me.

Whether its a cadillac or a buick it doesn't matter to me.

I realize thats not a popular position compared to the 7 passenger Enclave and I am looking to buy a vehicle this year. When I found out the CTS is available for AWD that peaked my interest in that sedan option.

The nice part is I'm shopping both vehicles at the same dealership. If I don't like the CTS in person as I do on the internet photos I've seen then I'll buy the Enclave and deal with the extra room as a selling point when and if I decide to sell it down the road.

The enclave was that nice of a vehicle. I remember driving over railroad tracks and not even noticing a difference. Thats how well the vehicle rode.

I remember driving with the window down and hearing the nearby traffic. Then I put the window up and it was an amazing silence.

The reported fuel mileage is impressive for such a fine vehicle. The engine although not powerful in the same vein as my 485hp modified C5 Z06, it was more than I anticipated for such a large vehicle. The motor in the Enclave is impressive and of high quality.

GM deserves a lot of credit for the enclave.
