When is the next-gen CTS due to be revealed? Wasn't it slated for the 2013 NAIAS?

I thought so too but haven't heard anything about it being at NAIAS...?
Cadillac has a lot to crow about these days and they have to spread-out the reveal schedule.
The ELR shows tomorrow.
The new Esacalade will be shown this year, somewhere.
*The new CTS will be shown, somewhere.
And the "Glamour" Concept car will be shown this year, somewhere.
*I saw Mr. Reuss this morning on CNBC talking about the ATS and its Car Of The Year award. In the course of conversation he mentioned some new product and he referred to the next CTS as coming "Next year". I don't know if that meant model year or calendar. I hope the former.
But, Cadillac may surprise us at the press conference tomorrow. They've done it before.
They'll be competeing for media attention, though. Facebook has scheduled what they say is a major announcment tomorrow morning too.

They might be saving it for the NY show, since that's probably the world's biggest market for the 5 and E and A6, a market they need to crack wide open.
I seem to recall that production would start in May, with a fall introduction. Time tables slip sometimes, but I would still expect production to start this calendar year.
I can't wait to see the next CTS. However I give GM credit for not showing cars years before they are for sale.
They diffused a lot with the ELR pre-release... maybe they will surprise us? I'm not getting my hopes up, though... (Just kidding, I am.)
But, the CTS goes into production is September. Now or New York is the only time, unless they do a special even in the mean time. Needs to be shown soon before a major auto show, and I don't think Pebble Beach counts in that regard. I think it's coming before New York.

What about Chicago in Feb?

1) Which of those are major luxury brands?
2) Detroit is one of the biggest and most important shows in the world.
3) New York and LA are both markets where the Germans dominate. Ferguson himself admitted to Cadillac not being very strong on the coasts. Don't believe me? Go to NYC or LA. Count the Cadillacs versus the Germans. Both are also centers of wealth for the country.
4) I'm saying the CTS isn't appropriate to Chicago. Did I say those weren't appropriate to Chicago?
Also, did I say "the city of Chicago"? No. I said Chicago. As in the show.

Chicago produces 80% of Illinois GSP, I would say it's pretty wealthy. They are also a huge market of German autos, all wealthy people (of which there are many) drive Bimmers, Benzs, Audis and Rovers. Cadillacs are old people, and even then very few. There's no reason it couldn't debut there, IMO. It is the largest domestic auto show after all, granted it's not international, but still...
