New ATS wheel option?

So I went to NAIAS on Sunday, and one of the ATS models on display (a red 3.6 Premium) had a set of wheels on it I haven't seen before (isn't even listed in the order guide or on Cadillac's website). Anyone know the story on these?



They're very nice looking, I'm just surprised there isn't any official information on them anywhere that I can find.

Those are SPO wheels available through the dealerships. Black ones are also available.

Hmmm that explains why no aggressive body kits and more trims offered. The major competitors all have more aggressive sport style packages.

I'd pay for a package that has blacked out appearance, power boost, lowered suspension...

The average buyer age for every car in that segment is around 50.

For this segment should be in the low 40s. In any case, all manufactures are trying to get younger demos in the family for future continued business. This is why they offer options that attract younger drivers.

With the established makers such as Mercedes Benz, it is going further, coming out with the new CLA.

Since the ATS is the "youngest" model in the Caddy family, they need to come up with more trims for the younger crowd.

A bit too extremely modified for my personal tastes, but I would love an ATS massaged with the "V" treatment. And I'm 27.

Someone was pointing out to me that it is common practice to put wheel offset spacers in the show cars like at Detroit, to improve the appearance on the floor. I guess it is a little more honest to put dealer-installed wheels on them to achieve the same effect, more power to 'em. But I always wondered how many people are really willing to shell out the incredibly high prices for the dealer wheels. I guess the answer is 'enough'!

For an E-class, yes. But I don't know any 50 year oldg that want to drive a compact sedan. Why aren't these cars targeted and priced at gainfully employed 30-somethings?

I think some of you are reading into average ages too much. 50 isn't that old of an average buyer age for any vehicle.

There is only a very small amount of 30-somethings that are gainfully employed with Cadillac money lying around.
