Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

WTF.
Why can't we have a Two-Mode LaCrosse?

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

I think this is becouse Chinese GM moves really fast. They know how to respond to market.
Buick got their two mode in before Prius..
Can you imagine? And why does Malibu not get this powertrain? Where is global GM that Lutzboy loves to talk about? Or the Lambdas.? it still cannot fit in there?

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

Perhaps some Chinese businessmen should take over GMNA. It shouldn't be such a bad idea.

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

No no no no, this isn't the two-mode. This is a BAS-mild hybrid system. This was reported here months ago.

If you read that article carefully, it says an "unnamed" model will get the 2mode system later on.

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

That is true, but then, Buick North America is still trying to push the embarassing La Crosse Super with a V8

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

The article says its an Eco-Hybrid not a 2-Mode Hybrid. Just because it has the green H doesn't mean it is a 2-Mode.

Then perhaps the Chinese... or at least the Chinese management team should take over Detroit. DAMMIT.

Buick in China is simply better than in North America. Plain and simple.

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

With the way things are going in the US, how could GM not offer a hybrid version of the next LaCrosse/Invicta? Bring it!

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

oh my god, when i look at the Chinese Buick, it's like looking at the BMWs. The front end is nothing crazy like the USA but simply good looking. What's up with the USA? GM Can't even keep up with Huyndai/kia to put those lenses for the headlight here.

Buick in China sure as hell outflanks Cadillac!!!!
Cadillac is made to look so pathetically outmatched!!!

I fail to understand why a Cadillac made and designed in America can be outflanked by a Buick in China... or even worse... a Cadillac enhanced for China!!!

What causes this disconnect at GM??
Do they believe that Americans wouldn't buy the "enchanced" Cadillacs or Buicks? Why do we get the crap versions in America??
I just don't get it.

Everytime I see a really awesome GM car... it's either sold in Europe or in Asia or in Australia or in the Middle East!!!
Yet GM continues to lose marketshare in North America due to its really ****ing crappy cars.
It pisses me off.

I share your confusion. Just another reason why Wagoner needs to go.

Re: La Crosse Two-Mode Hybrid

That LaX is not a two mode, its a BAS system.
Still dont undrestand why
1) Our LaX didnt look like that in and out
2) Our LaX doesnt have BAS system.
