Wow...GM produced a better looking Supra then Toyota has worked up. Bravo. It's only the front to me that screams Supra...I love how it looks from front to back, id drive one, but it really doesnt say GNX to me...unless they really were dead set on that name, they could probably call it just about anything, it really doesnt look like itd have to be GNX, doesnt remind me of one.

That chop is based on the '04-'06 GTO/Monaro.

Yeah......the front air dam isn't really that pretty......could stand to be cleaned up a bit

The biggest resemblance I'm seeing is in the tail lamp design (the rear view isn't that good though).......as for the rest of the car, I don't think it would be that much of a stretch to suggest a rough resemblence to the most recent gen. of Regals....

Looks pretty sweet, IMO. I think that a GNX can be spearhead part of the Buick revival. It can cause excitement for the brand in general.
I'll make a new sig. Later.

As it said in the article, the costs in specially developing a new V6 for that specific purpose (turbocharging) would've been rediculously expensive......

    Re: Interesting GNX Concept.....

Well I don't think they should make the GNX be a GTO with different body work, a few more "upscale" options, and a few more engines available that don't speak to the heritage at all. If they are gonna bring back one of the coolest cars in (semi) recent Buick history, they should do it right or not at all. JMO, like the last post.

I'd be fine with this car coming to Buick, and I think it would probably help out their model line somewhat, but I don't think they should call it GNX if it is going to be like the car in that article.

Also, don't some of the HF engines already have turbo in Saabs? Isn't there a 2.8T six that is similar in architecture to the 3.6? I don't think spending money to make an engine that not only differentiates the Buick from its Pontiac sibling, but also speaks to the car's original namesake should be that out of the question, especially if it is feasible at all to make the HF 3.6 into a turbocharged engine. Additionally, the next Grand Prix/G8 car, and the Impalla are rumored to be rwd v8, likely with similar engine options, so again, the Buick would be essentially the same car with different sheet metal and maybe some different options, a car meant to help save Buick deserves a bit more effort than that IMO.

Not trying to knock the idea of a new era GNX, and not trying to jump down your throat about it, so sorry if the above came off harshly, I didn't mean it to, I just feel strongly about these cars in particular, since we owned an '87 Regal T-Type, and I'd love to see the car rise again, but wouldn't want it to be simply a "clone" of another GM vehicle, and not even have what made it so popular, unique and potent back in the day, the Turbo V6. I'm all for N/A V8s, especially the LSx series, so don't take that as anything against them, I just think for this particular car, the LSx sbc isn't necessarily the answer.
