Interesting Gamma Buick Chops

Just ran across this on the net, some interesting chops done off of the Chevy Gamma concept. Worth a look and maybe some discussion.

Re: Interesting Gamma Buick Chops

Interesting... I like it.

With these proportions this model would presumably be slotted under the scrapped RendezVue rather than replacing it. If so, the Buick PHEV would be the size of the Equinox?

I'm not clear where a Chevy version would fit in relative to the Orlando and Equinox either.

Interesting find.

"Design from the mouths of designers."

I didn't know that "designers" were so bad at spelling.

I wonder who this person is. His/her observations were interesting/ frightening. Seemed to like the XTS a lot. The words about the ATS give me pause.

Looks European. Like a Fiat (Lancia?)

Yes, loved his take on the Buick Signia, the original Buick Rendezvous concept. It would have made the Aztec beautiful. Obviously, we have sedan and coupe designers doing poor interpretations of trucks for these brands. Also, our first introduction to the sliding cargo tray.

The only thing worth gleening from this exercise is the name. Buick Signia... sounds loads better than Buick Verano.

The concept was much more in keeping with Chevrolet's current front clips; however, the sleek nose shape is much more compatible with Buick language, and much more attractive than the end result for Chevy. Not to mention that the character lines on the sides are seriously Buick, the hip and sweep from the front fender are way more Buick than Chevy; though Chevy seems to be stealing a lot of Buick's design language lately.

Ah, everyone always talks about concepts they wish were made... I'm glad this one wasn't. The Buick Rendezvous was much more attractive (I'm not saying it's pretty, just better looking than this). And now we got the Enclave, which is just gorgeous, and hopefully a smaller one soon.
