Buick takes Aim at MKS?
Surrey, UK)Performance on par with a Lincoln MKS seems to be benchmark for Buick engineers when dialing in the new Buick Sedan. Buick even seems to be flaunting its bench mark as they openly drive around with mules as pictures from autoblog proof. While the information coming out of the manufacturer's camp (Buick) is muted, is easy to see why the MKS would be the preferred benchmark vs. Lexus or Acura.

Re: Buick takes Aim at MKS?
If you take a look at that spyshot where both cars are parked, I see a Benz of some sort, as well as a BMW behind the MKS.

Re: Buick takes Aim at MKS?
The MKS is huge for a modern sedan: 204 inches long, 61.6 inches tall, and 75.9 inches wide.
The MKS is significantly larger than the Lucerne, let alone the LaCrosse - although the Lucerne actually has more cabin space, most notably 2.8 inches of extra rear seat leg room and 0.6 inches of extra front leg room. If the new LaCrosse should benchmark anything, it should be the smaller MKZ. [EDIT] Don't get me wrong, if the new LaCrosse can match the technological sophistication and quietness of the MKS, that's good. But benchmarking it in terms of driving experience doesn't make sense. The MKS is very big and very heavy - Buick should be trying to beat the ride comfort and match the handling of much smaller, more agile cars. |

Re: Buick takes Aim at MKS?
There is lots of areas that the MKS is leading. For example, sitting position. It has this SUV like sitting position.
That Said, Buick leads in quite tunning. They are better than Lexus now. Just drive a rainier. I am glad there is no Lexus or Acura in that picture. It shows that perhaps internally, statistics show these brands are not up to snuff. |

Re: Buick takes Aim at MKS?
I noticed that the article is from the UK?
Aren't those Michigan Manufacturer plates on the Buick?
