Look at that car bounce on the road!!!
I loved those cars. Quite stylish in its day. And the seats are quite nice.

Those were good cars.
Cadillac had the idea of building a more sporting car back then, but just didn't put all the pieces together until CTS. THough, they did fine with the Gen4 Seville STS.

I guess that's why all the wanna-be thugs out there love 'em- standard shock bounce! No need to spend the rest of their gubment checks on the real thing.

Re: Before the DTS: we had this!!

More Motorweek hyperbole!!! Everything they test is the best thing since sliced bread. Most of what they test is boring. Wonder what they said about about the "Cadillac" Cimarron or the Chevy Citation (a car that became MT's Car of the Year--oops)? E.g., take a look at the '91 Park Avenue Ultra test.

So you can make a de Ville ride like an Audi (er truck) by installing higher rate springs? GM was so brilliant back then.

Hopefully the DTZ doesn't require premium fuel like this beast did......

Sorry, didn't mean to shoot from the hip. I did like the Brougham from that era, though (with the 5.7L). Does this mean I have mgt. potential?

Re: Before the DTS: we had this!!

NO WAY! My mom had a white 1991 Cadillac DeVille Touring Sedan! Reliability was deplorable (had to get a new engine at 75,000 miles) but it we loved that car. I'm sure it's a rare, rare car.

Re: Before the DTS: we had this!!

hmm I thought the old 4.9L was supposed to be good. Not much HP but tons of torque being OHV. My buddy Mario drove his one buddy's like '94 Deville with it and he said he peeled out with it pretty well
