recently purchased and already spent over $1000.00 in repairs. Now they say I need a pcm. problem I am having is in town traffic, my car idles rough and the pcm I need is what. There are several pcm's on the net. Can someone help me with a name other than pcm?.

Is your car supercharged?
If it really is the PCM, it's the "powertrain control module".

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. But the 1995 Riviera is one of the greatest designs to come out of GM since Bill Mitchells retirement. Vastly under rated and under appreciated. I'd have a late example in my garage tomorrow if I could.
