2010 Buick LaCrosse debut tomorrow. Did Jalopnik lie to us?

Jalopnik says the new LaCrosse will debut with a press conference tomorrow at 9:15 am CST

Can anyone confirm this? Its odd we have not talked about it.

SCOOP: In addition to looking around for Tiger Woods, we'll be checking out the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. The new LaCrosse will be built on GM's Epsilon II platform, which also underpins the 2008 Opel Insignia and will be the basis of the next-generation Saturn Aura, Chevy Malibu and Pontiac G6. Spy photos of the squishier-looking FWD midsized luxury sedan below.

Re: 2009 Buick LaCrosse debut tomorrow.

Wait a minute... it's going to be a 2009?!? Doesn't that mean it will come out sometime in 2008?!??!?!? If that's the case, I'm excited... I figured it was still well over a year off! If it can hit the market before the end of the year I think it can capitalize on the good vibe behind the Enclave.

EDIT: Just read the article. It's the 2010 Lacrosse. Dammit.

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse debut tomorrow.

Ha no problem. One of the links mentions that it should start production in February 2009 for release shortly after. Only one year... it'll go fast, right?

The older you get the faster it'll fly by.

And I so hope it has the lines from the Riviera. That would rock.

Yeah. The Tundra and FJ Cruiser debuted at a Chicago Auto Show way before going on sale. I think Tundra debuted at 2006 Chicago Auto Show and went on sale early 2007 as a 2007/2008 model.

That would be nice. I hope the Riviera is a look into Buick's North American future.

I know... I'm super geeked to see it. I've been looking all over to see if it leaked yet.

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse debut tomorrow.

If it's not going to be available for sale until spring of next year I wish they'd just hold off and announce it at next year's auto show. I hate that most cars (especially domestics) have a lead time between announcement/reveal and availability of at least 1 full year. It's ridiculous IMO.

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse debut tomorrow.

Well I hope that is correct. No one else has said a word about the LaCrosse at Chicago. Actually GM doesn't even acknowledge anymore debuts....

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse debut tomorrow.

I hope this is legit......I can't wait to see the future of Buick's car lineup!! The Enclave is such a beautiful CUV, I can't imagine the designers messing up the Lacrosse!
