Am I reading this correctly?
The center seat of the third row in the Escalade will be VINYL.
What The H_LL?

Always has been. It was changed to a different type of vinyl.

As for the rest, I bet a Black Ice CTS will be hot.

Re: 2009 Cadillac Official Changes

So....XLR Plat is the base XLR. Why not just call it...XLR??
ALL PLAT EDITION Caddys should be STANDARD Caddys.

Yeaaaa... Escalade has always had some questionable foul ups behind the 1st row.
It's why I've never given the Escalade that much respect. Because it can be so much better than it is -- especially for the price.

Umm.. because Cadillac remains completely clueless as to their naming convention....
or they have leftover "platinum" badges in inventory they need to get rid of.

Yes. Here's 2 quotes from salespeople on a Cadillac forum who've seen them:

Quote:
I saw the new 2009 XLR-V

comes with new wheels, Side vents like the CTS, New front and rear end new grill upper and lower. .. New colors.. New dash, cluster,

It should sell better now.. Don't know if the HP will be raised or not.. New interior and wood.. Door skins have different switches on them too. Bluetooth.
Quote:
The vents actually look pretty nice unmasked. The powertrain is unchanged for '09- still 443hp.

As far as the other cosmetic changes, there's no more "Supercharged" emblem on the door (just a V), the new rear and front fascias look really nice, and the interior gets a few subtle enhancements- Corvette style font on the gauges to replace the BVLGARI, new window switches, mirror controls and an Alcantara headliner and sunvisors.
So...finally out with the "1st gen Art & Science" and into something more current, and hopefully inside, not so darn plain and unimpressive for the price.

Re: 2009 Cadillac Official Changes

CORVETTE STYLE FONT ON THE GUAGES TO REPLACE BVLGARI!!!!!

How absolutely LOW CLASS!!!!!
That is NOT an enhancement. That is a DISASTER!!!!

That REEKS of cost cutting!!
Only GM could find a way to cost cut on a car that MSRP's for $101,000!!!!!!!!!

Dude, I find it completely unacceptable too. Don't let GM give you high blood pressure and CHF b/c it isn't worth it...I understand you're very mad as am I, but you've already said Cadillac is still lost / doesn't have the funds/support at GM.

so be done with it until they improve. Its sad, VERY SAD. ****ing Corvette rule is what is holding back this car in particular.

Let's just wait until we see it. Those were the quick interpretations of two salesmen who've seen it, so they may vary a bit in reality.

The current car never looked all that rich or even worth the price level it was at, especially inside, so the changes as they are apparently finally make the car at least look of the proper price caliber. I wouldn't get too entranced by someone saying "Corvette style font". In reality, the current font and also gauge design, etc. was far from being all that spectacular, so it doesn't take much to improve.

I take this as the numbers font staying the same, they are just loosing the Bvlgari above the speedo. Upsetting because I like that they brag about the designer.

I have to agree. The old XLR interior was never very amazing anyway even with the Bulgari, for all you know the so-called Corvette style gauge may actually look better.

By the way, is this list complete? How about a heated steering wheel in the CTS?

The Escalade's steering wheel now has power tilt, how about telescope? And what's this about the Escalade's front seat headrests being changed from 4-way adjustability to 2-way?

Re: 2009 Cadillac Official Changes

MG will like the XLR changes with the Platinum being the base model now.

EDIT: I see he has other things to complain about, so guess not.
