2008 LaCrosses being built already?

For those of you who dont know, I have a temporary part time job at the Oshawa Assembly plants (I work on the Impala line, just for the summer, then I head back to university).

On my break, I decided to walk to the cafeteria to grab some snacks, when I noticed a bunch of LaCrosses going down the assembly line with big chrome grilles (same ones as the Super's). At first I thought it was a Super, then I saw that the build sheet said "L26" (3800 V6). I knew the CXS's were getting the Super front end for 2008, but I didnt know the CX/CXL's were. Are they 2008's? or just 2007's with the 2008 bumpers?

On that note, I think it looks very good in black, white and silver. The red is a bit iffy.

Isn't everything being produced now an '08? After the summer shutdown, don't they all switch over unless there's some special situation?

That would make sense. I only talk to a couple people that work in 'Plant 2,' and the only difference they noticed was having Buick codes on the LS4's and the new interior pieces. Looks like the other 2 cars havn't changed at all for this year then. It looks like once GP production ends, Impala would be moving over to 2, and more work will be done to get the Camaro line set up

Thats what I thought too. There is no point continuing to produce 2007 models when 2008 models are hitting the lot now and in a few months from now.
