2008 Cadillac on Ebay

A dealer in Illinois has Escalades, an SRX, and an STS listed on ebay.

2008 SRX

2008 Escalade
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...QQcmdZViewItem

2008 STS
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...QQcmdZViewItem

Notice on the STS's window sticker options, it listed the wood package and mentions a wood steering wheel, but this car does NOT have one. Are they building cars and just shipping them without the steering wheel? I remember reading something about this in a thread earlier today mentioning how they are delaying the CTS because of the steering wheel issue.

$100 credit for lack of the wood steering wheel. Of all things to go wrong...amazing that something that minor can't be sourced in time for production.

I actually like it better with out the wood, it doesn't feel good when u are actually driving vs. regular leather.
Just my opinion, maybe others enjoy the hard texture, idk.

Holy cow GM is run by morons. Look how this dealer is offering 6k off and the car has been out for days. If only they would have invested 6k more into the interior they would not have to do **** like this.

The Escalade is $6325 below sticker as well. The SRX is some $5k off. So not sure the interior would have changed anything on the STS (not saying the interior shouldn't have been redone regardless).

I need to see and feel it in person. I like what it looks like from the photo's, but that doesn't mean I'll like it when driving it.

Re: 2008 Cadillac on Ebay

Why don't they just throw a 4.6 in the CTS and call it done?
No offense, but this looks cheazy to me, slapped together and overdone. The grille looks out of place in a way on it and there is too much clutter on the fender, a vent, turn signal light, and a logo. It would've been better to integrate the turn signal into the side vent. I don't see who would pay more for this with its V6 then just buying a better looking CTS. the STS has become pointless now. and the DTS is out of the question. Things like this hurt Cadillac's image. Sorry everyone for being critical to this, the STS looks good still, just the CTS looks incredible.

17 mpg. V-6 engine.

Do they try to get such crummy mileage?

My thread was in relation to the CTS. I asked if anything was going on with the STS and he mentioned that it may have some delays or "production credits."

I was thinking that with the SRX V6 having 14 mpg in the city when the Tahoe with a V8 and signicantly larger has 15 mpg.

How do you go about fixing that up??

Those ratings are pretty much identicle to the ratings for last year and the engine has gained almost 50 horses and 25lb/ft of torque plus reduced emissions. I think that's a pretty good trade off.

Don't forget it is on the 2008 ratings aswell.

Unrelated...I do like the new fobs though also.

Yeah, they are nice looking. I like seeing a specific Cadillc Keyfob rather then the same exact one that I have for my 99 Tahoe.

Kind of how it should be.

God the STS is a hideous car inside and out. Easily the worst car in it's class.

Though it's a crummy city rating, it really is on par with other V6 engines.
