91 s-10baja,

Thanks for posting the 1985 Buick Grand National commercial. Great memories brings me back to my teen years. I have not seen that commercial in years. I remember when that first aired on TV. George Thorogood's song was really quite popular back then.

I wish i had that car the GNX model was technically the fastest grand national model but non GNX models could still produce decent track times

philr,

Thanks for the correction. I had forgotten the Buick 350 lived until 1980.

knightfan26917,

Thanks.

GMfan1111,

Correct the GNX was indeed faster but it was not considered a Buick production car since it was a ASC/McLaren modified Grand National and so few of them were made. I sure like to get my hands on a GNX, the prices are astronomical.

Yeah, they both look awesome, just a choice between the 3.8 Turbo or the 305 V8.

If only I had a time machine...

I seem to remember reading some sub-5 second 0-60 times for the GNX.

Re: 1987 Buick Grand National

Yeah the GNX ran around 4.7 seconds to 60, IIRC the LS4 cars run low 5's.
