Re: Your favorite Pontiac of all time?
My personal very top pick would be a first-generation Firebird convertible (with a manual tranny, and in black. Any model year will do
)The 1960s GTOs would be next (1966 being my fav, 1964 for 'classicness')... and then the current Solstice. Not to mention that gorgeous four-door automatic Pontiac Firefly with the 3-cylinder 1.0 liter Suzuki engine. PONTIAC RACING FTW!!! |

2008-09 G8
2005-06 GTO 2004-05 Bonneville GXP 2003-07 Vibe (so what if it's a Toyota? it was still a great compact and looked much better than the Matrix) 1997-2003 Grand Prix GTP 1992-95 Trans Sport ( don't make fun of me, I always liked the Dustbusters; these years had the 3800)1984-89 6000STE ('84 added the digital displays) (The lack of older Pontiacs is not due to a dislike of them, but rather a general preference towards newer vehicles from any brand due to my age and less early vehicular knowledge prior to the 1980s. )

Re: Your favorite Pontiac of all time?
![]() I shoulda picked a production, so I'll go with the 1998-2002 Trans-Am WS6. The family had a '98 for a short while before exchanging it for a Chevy pickup. I spent my high school years lusting to have my own WS6 coupe. It was the fiercest-looking thing on the street. Living in Middle Tennessee at the time, the big thing was driving a truck. To me, the Trans looked way cooler than the Mustang Cobra or even the Camaro SS. I miss those years. Cars have gotten better, but I long for the enthusiasm and simple dreaming that I held then. |

Re: Your favorite Pontiac of all time?
Too bad my first post here has to be on such an lousy occasion.
I've had Pontiacs for most of my driving years, at one time I owned 6 Pontiacs, mostly Fieros. I now own three Fieros, an S10 Pickup, and a Chevy HHR. <shakes head> My wife drives a Mini Cooper. The one below I bought new, owned for 22 years. Sadly, I sold it just a few years ago out of a misplaced feeling of "I'll never really have the money to treat it right - let someone else have it." So far as favorites, nothing will ever replace it. <smiles> But I sure love my ZR2 S10 ... ![]() |

Re: Your favorite Pontiac of all time?
Any and all year GTO's. even the 74.
Firebirds 67-73 and then 84-02 How people think the "Bandit" cars are attractive still boggle the mind. The "Tri-5" Pontiacs look great. Fiero, Solstice, G8, and 98 and up GP's. First Vibe with the more aggressive body style. When they went with the goofy twin kidney grill, it made it boring.

Your choices are all good. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who liked the '74 GTO.
