Well, about two-thirds of the Aztek's first year of production was bought by General Motors itself for various promotions, etc.

Funny, I've heard rumblings about of there being sort of an "Aztek subculture" growing. I reckon that's similar to when my son was in high school, the kids all went crazy for anything and everything AMC! Pacers, Gremlins, and Matadors seemed to be particularly sought after! My son begged me for money to buy an old Matador X off of ebay, but I had just bought him a brand new Jetta, so it was no dice.

Thankfully, like most teen trends, it didn't last long...

It'd be funny if years from now, my grandkids would be clamoring to buy old Azteks because of some kitsch trend!
