Pontiac Website Refreshed

Anybody see the new Pontiac website? It's pretty sweet.

Now if only the G6 and G5 were as nice...

Has it really?
Well, with the pace that GM updates websites, I was surprised.
I enjoyed the fact that the graphic about the Malibu's fuel economy is now gone.

Re: Pontiac Website Refreshed

the G6 needs the turbo 2.0 in it, that would make a lot cooler GXP than the 3.6

I don't know... I got down on the wife's GTP sedan this evening for the first time in a while. It's a fun engine to have under the hood.

Re: Pontiac Website Refreshed

Pontiac's site needs to be bombed. Same with Saturn. Then they need to hire people who can make an easy-to-navigate website that will load in decent times.

I realize they are trying to be "hip" with Pontiac, but I hate navigating this website. It's laggy, I hate sites that use excessive flash, and insist upon itself.

Saturn's cars are fixed, now they should fix their website. All the pictures are absurdly small and useless, and the navigation is obnoxious.

Man, you could not be more right on this. The last email I sent to Saturn basically said the same thing; great cars but a lousy website that looks and feels outdated and low budget. Pontiac's looks cool but the navigation is sllllooooowwww and the images are overly artsy. The marketing dweebs love all of that but consumers have no use for it. People want to see good pictures of the cars in real settings that show the look and the features. See www.subaru.com for a good example.

I like it. Everything loads very quickly over here.

EDIT: Nevermind, I tried to build a G8 and it all locked up on me.

Do you feel the same about the Canadian Saturn site?
http://www.gm.ca/ss/gm/homepage.do?l...A&brand=saturn

The same can be said about other companies, for example VW's Deutch website, takes forever to find what you want. While I actually think all of GM Canada's sites are pretty good.

Yeah, if they had only gotten rid of the embarrassing "Pontiac is Car" tagline.

I think the Canadian Saturn site is better. It looks more unified graphically though the images are only a little bigger. Other sites, such as Ford's, give you the option viewing the photo galleries larger. Saturn's only gives you the option of downloading wallpaper for a larger view. Automotive websites are hit or miss but Saturn's US site is about the worst I can think of. I just want a simple site that has a lot of big pictures and clearly spelled out equipment and pricing information.
