Re: Pontiac G8 Owners Club - Share Your Pride & Joy With Us

It's good to see so many of our members, and staff, purchasing the best all-round product GM has on offer.

A lot of people lay a lot of crap on the G8, but once you've driven one you know there is no going back to your old drive.... unless it's a late model GTO!

I recieved my new GXP last week.

I've added HSV GTS wheels so far. I sat in a few new Camaros and ended up liking the G8 much better.

Ahhhhh, I thought those wheels looked strange (as in different). The black looks really nice.

Nice car TriShield. Seeing all these nice g8s really makes me want to go ahead and pull the trigger on a gt. I'm surprised to see that you bought a Pontiac though. Reading your posts always put me under the impression that just mentioning GM made you puke inside your mouth a little bit.

Yea, he is a bit of a conundrum. He talks major smack about GM, yet here he just got a G8 and I believe before that he had a GN.

Oh BTW, pull the trigger and get the G8. You won't regret it.

Oh he vurps alright. But let's see a GTO, G8, and then G8 GXP.... At least he buys a good car when he knows it regardless of the brand.

I had a gorgeous GN and numerous other GM vehicles my entire life and come from a GM/Big Three family. I love great American cars and the muscle/classic car culture.

I say what I say knowing that GM could have consistenly built great cars, that did their great brands justice and drew on the rich history of the company yet they slowly but surely piddled it all away over the past thirty years.

I don't think a good fan worships every shoddy car and bad idea GM puts out. Appreciating and actually buying the truly stellar ones and holding GM to their own highest standards as well as the market standards is what everyone who wants to see GM succeed inside and outside the company should've been doing.

Considering a lot of the things GM pulls, that's usually the case.

As much as Trishield smacks down GM (and as a whole I agree with most of your sentiments, your delivery is often what gets me), as least he can see a quality product.

Did you get rid of the G8? How long did you have that for?

Also something about this picture didn't sit right with me for quite some time until I picked what was missing.

Looks almost naked without the HSV guard vent. Those GTS alloys are by far my favourite alloy design yet. Good choice.

Holden is my favorite part of GM ever the GTO was announced in 2002. I also checked them out in person at a dealer in Sydney when I was there.

I had the G8 GT since July of 2008 and sold it to get the GXP two weeks ago. I am considering getting the HSV front fenders for my car, eventually.

Got my new G8 GT last week on my birthday! It's my first brand new car since my '92 Z28. Drove it to work today for the first time.

Congrats on your new toy mate! I know she'll make you very happy!

www.g8forum.com and www.g8board.com are both good G8 forums owned by GMI's parent multi-national corporation, AutoForums.
