Pontiac El Camino Still Possibility for G8 ST
G8 Nation received an e-mail from Pontiac Communications Manager, Jim Hopson and he said that the "El Camino" name is again being considered for the G8 ST. He said that he would be interested in hearing what the readers of G8 Nation think about using the Chevy nameplate on a Pontiac. Please read the story and VOTE now! |

I don't think that is a good idea.....what next, the Buick Grand Prix? Cadillac Park Avenue?

I don't think alphanumerics are appropriate for this sort of vehice. Give it a real name, and preferably something from Pontiac's past. Some might call me a blasphemer, but I think Tempest would work great. Not sure why, but I think it sounds good.

Why would tradesman in one country buy these in droves, while another country who is used to big thirsty trucks not be interested in a much more compact and just as useful alternative?
