I think You are wrong..."Muscle" collectors will want this car....and the install was done by a magnuson recommended professional...

Believe me when I say..."This is the ONLY way to have this car" BLOWN. This is not some gerbil habitrail looking mod...this is the most "GM" looking blower you could imagine.

It doesn't matter, Pontiac still had nothing to do with your modification. It will really most likely not help the value of your car compared to a bone-stock GTO in great condition.

+1 to the facts, and also... the engine bay is ugly without the valve-covers.

Like any collectable it is only worth what someone or hopefully two are willing to pay for it. Unless two want it, it will have a lower value than you may expect. Stranger things do happen though -here in Australia a fake GTHO Falcon commands a good price even though they aren't original because they are still a great car and better than a standard Falcon.

Not knocking your car but I imagine this Harrop-manufactured blower also fits your "GM" description. There's an interesting Holden connection as veteran Ron Harrop was/is highly regarded - both as Chief Engineer and race-component manufacturer - over many years for GM-Holden's factory race team, being HRT and the old HDT before them. Btw the Magnuson charger in your car also has a HRT connection in its design & development

Harrop Stealth

This Harrop Hurricane 8 Butterfly intake manifold is also pretty shmick

Also makes heavy duty Ford 9-inch & Chev 12-bolt IRS diff conversions for Monaro/GTO, among much other top-quality goodies

your car probably won't fetch 250k but i can see it going for at least 10 to 12k considering the engine has been modded. If you had a kappa roadster though and kept it stock all it's life it will be a collectors item in a few years

Solstice GXP Coupe with the manual will be worth a lot.

Re: Pontiac Dead? What's a 600hp 05 GTO going to be worth in a few months?

The CARB cert alone will command the price...You can "MOD" a car any way you want.
But will it pass state and federal smog laws?? Visual inspection?? at 600 flywheel horsepower?? The answer is NO it will not...Some people want to adhere to the law of the land....and SOME collectors will place high value in that alone...JMO

Time will tell...

GM offered many cars with a "real" history at Barrett-Jackson in Tempe and Palm Beach; most brought far less than $50,000. The "one of a kind" widebody GTO racing prototype from SEMA, with a Katech built engine brought less than that. And any knowledgeable enthusiast would rather have that than your personal rendition. Sorry but as a "pseudo expert" in this field your car won't be worth much ........unless you sell it too your relatives.

Is that the orange "Ram Air VI" that sold for less than $50K?

Re: Pontiac Dead? What's a 600hp 05 GTO going to be worth in a few months?

OP: I love your car. I am actually a huge fan of the 04-06 GTO, particularly the 05-06.

But I am siding with Millefune. I think an unmolested, low mileage last-gen GTO might fetch good cash in 15 years. $250k worth? Hell no......but maybe double the original MSRP.

That's Gerbil habitrails and purple...sorry...I wouldn't have that car for a KIA payment (well...maybe for the short block) LOL!!

Well...I DO LOVE MY CAR...

It would take 6 figures to make me sell it (right now)...in the future? The sky is the limit.

I don't think any of us here have a real grasp on how completely different the car market will be in 5 or ten years...
That said, if it goes as pro hybrid as I believe it will, these high hp monsters will bring all the cookie dough. Especially mine. Think about it. A factory installed corvette engine in a family car. We may NEVER ...EVER see that again. EVER! JMO
