Anyone seen this? RPO code for Grand Prix GT2 on G8 GT...

Why would a 2008 G8 GT have this RPO code?

Z7T 33608 P MSM R MODEL CONVERSION PONTIAC GRAND PRIX 'GT2' 20422 E 1 E A

-This appeared after building out a 2008 G8 GT on Pontiac's website as the last line in the options list.

Yes, I sold my H2 and GTO for an Escort and a minivan. Why? Because I'm waiting for the Camaro SS or the G8 GXP...or both

Would be nice to go back to the Grand Prix name. GM just spent/wasted countless millions on the G8 brand name.

Funny after 33 views, the first to post a reply has the same last name and first initial as me...lol

I was thinking that it was perhaps the remnants of them intending to call it the Grand Prix from the get go...

I still think they should just go back to the names. If they want to keep the "G" moniker call it a Grand Prix G8 for the 8cyl and the Grand Prix G6 for the 6cyl model.

Same with the Grand AM--Grand AM G6 or G4

Solstice can be Solstice G4 or G4T for the turbo model

Well now wait a minute.

I thought GMI had uncovered that rumored advertising campaign with that catchy sales jingle........ what was it..... Pat Benat and " HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT" or whatever the title really is.

If I recall improperly goes something like this - for Pontiac;

'Hit me in the G spot, why doncha' hit me in the G spot' ........ you have to kinda' imagine the visuals - with the cars and all.
