Question 2009 G6 GT Coupe OnStar

Hi everyone! I'm new here and this is my first post. I presently have a 2005 GrandAm GT coupe and am thinking of moving up to a 2009 G6 GT coupe.

I was told that there would be some changes to the OnStar hardware/software for the 2009 model year. I was wondering what those changes might be and whether it applies to the 2009 G6 GT coupe as well.

There is a 2008 coupe that is available and has most of the features I want so I'm considering that as well. I want to know if there is any point in waiting for the 2009 model because of the OnStar changes.

Take care!

Nick

Re: 2009 G6 GT Coupe OnStar

Thanks for the URL. I checked it out but it does not mention anything about the changes which are slated for OnStar. Perhaps more information will come out in the next few months.

Apparently, some sort of GPS tracking and vehicle disabling feature is going to become available so that if your car is stolen, they can slow it down so the thief can't race away from the police with it.

Take care,

Nick
