123,000 Pontiac Vibes affected by Toyota recall

An update to the 660,000 vehicle recall from NUMMI...

...NUMMI plant in Fremont, California, put out 540,000 Toyota Matrixes, Corollas and 123,000 Pontiac Vibes with faulty bolts that hold in the glass on the two front doors.

NUMMI does not, and has never made the Matrix. Every Matrix is, and always has been made in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. NUMMI built ~300,000 Corollas 03-04 Model year. Meaning the rest came either from Canada or Japan.

Well...I didn't write the article. That's kinda surprising though, you'd think that Autoblog would know their stuff...
They could've meant the RHD version of the matrix.

RHD version of the Matrix is called the Toyota Voltz, and is actually a RHD Vibe.

Funny thing is that, up here, the TV guys just reported this as a pontiac problem and recall. Most folks do not know that the plant is a joint venture with the rice kings.
