I honestly don't know that I watched his show more than once, but it wasn't bad. Hell, it was certainly more real than most of the stupid ****ing dumb crap everyone here raves about. He seems like an alright guy too, which is more than I can say for most of the people on MTV as well.
But in most places in the US you can't retire on that kind of money, either. If you take home $600,000 after taxes, spend $100,000 between the two years, you have $500,000 in the bank. You can't retire young on an investment that small.
Xzibit seems to be a genuine guy and was in a few decent movies and isn't that bad of an Actor, it was the guys that worked at that shop that annoyed the hell out of me.
I watched the show on occasion. For the most part I found it completely vulgar the things they would do to those cars. Most of the time they were junk so it didn't matter. Like a Tercel or Escort. But sometimes they were decent 80s American cars that were painted lime green and packed with 10 LCD screens, 20 speakers, and an Xbox. Ugh. I'd just part out the electronics, sell the ruined hulk for junk, and use the money to buy a decent car.
Another show I'm not too fond of is Overhaulin'. I hate large aftermarket chrome wheels in general, but on a vintage 50s/60s/70s American car? Let's just say I'm not Chip Foose's biggest fan. Guess they are saving hopeless rusted cars from the junkyard at least.
Oh lighten up...sheesh. You sound like your 100,000,000 years old.
