Talking Woot! My mom just got a G8 GT!

So, My mom was wondering what my dad wanted for father's day, and he told her that he wanted to trade in her Torrent and put her in a new car.

She had expressed interest in the G8 when we were out looking at Enclaves, so lo and behold, my dad went and bought a 2009 Liquid Red G8 GT.

It has the black leather, sunroof, 6-disc CD changer, and the Sport and Premium Packages.

I can't wait to borrow this thing for a day!

And of course, the pictures! I'm sorry they aren't better, but I had to snap the pictures quickly as my mom was on her way home and does not yet know that my dad got the car for her!

sweet normally I have a taste for Jags or L67 buicks but I wouldn't mind driving a G8 GT i'm sure there will be good deals when more go into the used car market

Congrats! Same setup as mine except for the color and sunroof. Try and get a shot of it next to your Mini if you can.

Beautiful!! I wonder how much her son's advice weighted on her purchase decision . . .

Enjoy many happy trouble free miles.

Congrats on the G8!! Man that is one sweet looking car.

I wonder why GM waited this long to bring the car over. I was in Australia 2 yrs ago and let me tell you this car is popular over there alongside the Ford Falcon.

Re: Woot! My mom just got a G8 GT!

Thanks folks! It was pretty funny, I had mentioned the G8 before, and had even shown her pictures, but she hadn't liked it too well. I definately had a "told you so" moment when she pointed it out and asked what it was!

I'm definately going to get some pictures with the MINI near it. I'm sure MINI already has engine envy over its new garage-mate.

Instant classic, even if Pontiac did survive.

Yep. I wasn't going to buy one until fall, but when the death of Pontiac was announced, and it become apparent that what we've got is all we were going to get (as far as G8's are concerned), I pounced. Needed to replace my '98 Aurora before winter, and give my '04 GTO some company in the garage.

Same thing for my wife - I'd emailed her pictures but she wasn't into it. Then we saw it in person, and took a test drive, and the car simply sold itself.
