Re: Video: Porsche 911 GT2 vs. Corvette ZR1

These guys are now on the defensive and are making every excuses under the book. Apparently they have had many goes with the two cars. The video they used were chopped up fotages of other trials, not of the actual race.

If that was the best ZR1 launch they could muster then I dont want to know how pathetic their other launches were.

I also thought it funny at the end "I got him on the brakes though" part lol.....what a classic.

I really don't understand the criticism. Euro mags don't use a 12" rollout like US ones do and the surface was unprepped concrete, so 3.82 secs is pretty damn good.

The new season recently started in the UK so I bet it'll show up sometime this season.
If you looked closely on this season's teaser during the first episode you can see Jeremy whipping the ZR1 around the track with an R8 V10, so a track test should be coming real soon.

US testers also doesnt spin the tires till third gear. Still pretty a poor effort from those guys.

They tried, at least they acknowledged the ZR1 was the fastest car in the end and that the race was skewed by the tarmac. Just look at those trap speeds, the ZR1 was gaining fast!

What do you expect? In US terms they got 3.5 sec on a poor surface.
