Time to be Nice to Toyota

Ok, the Holiday season is upon us.
It is a time for compassion, friendship, helping those that are down on their luck.
Isn't it time that we lend a hand to Toyota?
Isn't it time that we give Toyota a break?
Isn't it time that we do something good for the drooping chromed phallic symbol of the automotive world?

The proposal is simple.
Just outlaw floor mats.
No words need to be said.
There's no reason to attach Toyota's name to the
FLOORMATS ARE ILLEGAL BILL.
Many Toyotas today apparently cannot be driven safely using floor mats.
If we make floor mats illegal, Toyota will fit in with all the other car makers again.
We can dispense with all of the "IT'S THE FLOORMATS" threads.
Peace and harmony can once again reign supreme at GMI.

What say ye fellow GMIers? Is it time to give floormats the boot?

poor engineering or frame rot? take your pick. Either way, you have no legs if you drive one of these.
I see kids speeding with them all the time. How did this truck pass US safety standards?

A House subcommittee demanded today that Toyota account for several comments made by a U.S. executive Monday, saying his assurances ..... did not match what Toyota had told congressional staffer just a week ago.

"Toyota officials indicated that sticking accelerator pedals are unlikely to be responsible for the sensational stories of drivers losing control over acceleration as their cars race to 60 miles per hour or higher,"

It probably passed because it actually got good safety ratings and much better results than the GMT-800.

Do you not like your car because it is a Toyota?

Re: Time to be Nice to Toyota

Suziebob and rvj have it absolutely right! Thank you BOTH!!!! I will be nice to Toyota when Toyota is American and that means OWNED by Americans with profits staying here and being spent here and parts being made here, not just assembled together here, but they will still be in line behind GM and Ford.

Re: Time to be Nice to Toyota

The Yari has been identified as being the most sought after vehicle for info by the gay community and NO!!!!.... I do NOT know that firsthand! Further comments being withheld after being warned by this forum that my political viewpoint cannot be tolerated by some here but their religious viewpoints are accepted...... The concept that started this thread with being nice during the holidays IS a political statement. Religion = politics. Only our country, in the entire world, does not see our conflicts as being religious wars.

Thanksgiving is a religious holiday now?

What does gay people buying the Yaris have anything to do with anything? And why is it such a big deal that you feel you have to emphasize not having first hand knowledge? There are gay people on this forum that drive a Camaro SS. So. I really don't know the point of anything you just said.

This thread is beyond ridiculous.

Certain people just shouldn't post on internet forums....

Let's get this back on track.
This thread is not religious in even the smallest extent.
This thread is about lampooning the phloormat defense.

Now we return you to your regularly scheduled thread....

I Toyota's ads, for the Lexus 460, it tells us about all the firsts that they have invented.

However, they do not discuss another first invented by Toyota .... The Phloormat Defence, otherwise known as blame it on the mats.
