    Re: To the SS Doubters...

Well, GM could have asked us to vote for the look. Had they put the Holden fascia on the Chevy, I would have been applauding GM. The way it is now, I felt like laying in bed and staying there. Why do they do this? The Chevrolet Orlando concept actually looked cool and futuristic. Then they came out with it and not only did they come out with a completely ghey version of it, it's not even available in AWD. The new Malibu was also not even different enough from the old version to even identify it on the road when you see one. If they gave it the Impala grill, I could tell if I saw a new one on the road. GM never even had a poll here asking people if they wanted the Astra GTC or OPC in North America.

Whatever. I don't want to be seen as a complainer. I just wanted to vent. I've had it.

"What is left unsaid in all this is the fact that conventional cars with a tank full of petrol are far greater fire hazards than electric cars will ever be. Some 185,000 vehicles catch fire in America each year, with no fewer than 285 people dying as a consequence. But, then, people have been living with the hazard of petrol for over a century. Irrationally, electric-vehicle fires are perceived as somehow more worrisome simply because they are new." - The Economist

Is there only vehicle been made available for photos? I would like to see the real car in real photos showing the different colours. I am sick of CGI of the interior as well.

So the market position and limited options should have come as no surprise to anyone on GMI, right? Especially with how few GM is looking to sell every year.

And yet they limit it to an automatic only.
The CTS-V wagon can get a manual but not the top of the line Chevy SS?!

    Re: To the SS Doubters...

I wonder if the SS will be relatively rare, and if it will be as rare as the manual transmission Opulent Blue Metallic CTS-V wagon that I have recently been considering?
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!
