Each time I reported that the Commodore would return, some felt the need to slam the report as BS.
GMI called this car, down to the engine and market position, back in 2010.
That is all.

"What's noteworthy about this rumor is that it came from GMInsideNews.com. That in itself gives it a bit more credibility." - Edmund's Insideline, June 21, 2008

Best post ever!
Bob Lutz said the car was coming back (obviously as a Chevy) in 2009.
However, I do give credit for the call on the LS3 and the premium market position call. Though it was not that hard to see why that would be the case.
"The car's brilliant and ... a great surprise, pleasant surprise for all Corvette lovers everywhere ... a huge shock to our competitors ... because I don't think anybody was expecting something that good. What pleases me the most about it was that ... I can say this is the first car that's come out, that was done since I left.

So if you knew, GM had to know as well. Are you telling me it has taken them 3 friggin years and all they could come up with was SS for a name?? I swear- I don't know why I root for this company sometimes!
Good job Nick. Your major award is on the way...![]()
Get used to more.
50 50weight distribution is impressive too
Thanks for GM I and their excellent reporting

LOL, I am happy a RWD 4 Door Sedan is being offered by Chevy...so today is a good day.
IF IT AINT RWD; AND A CHEVY I DONT RIDE IT!!!!!
ALL CHEVY'S NEED TO BE RWD!!!!!
Has gmi known that no manual was going to be offered? Seems like a fairly hot issue on the car so far and I gotta admit, I was pretty surprised by it. Otherwise, I actually love the looks
Future Rides: Dodge Viper (hopefully someday)
2009 Pontiac G8 (seriously)
Current Rides: 2002 Dodge Dakota QC 4.7 V8 4x4
2009 Saturn Vue XR
Past Rides: 1992 Buick Century
1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
1998 Buick Regal LS
2003 Buick Regal GS
2004 Honda Civic EX
1998 Honda Civic DX
I also predicted that this car when it debuted would be desired right up until the point that it debuted, and then posters would call for GM management's heads.
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!
