Re: Spotted!

I saw a MK5 Golf Variant with Deutsche Nummernscilder on a car carrier yesterday. It was pretty dirty, like they had just driven it off a ship. VWoA's port is down here but I doubt this car belongs to VW given the road it was on and it's direction of travel.

Re: Spotted!

Remember the Vauxhall Ventora I found for sale a while ago? Same bloke has an 83 or 84 Vauxhall Carlton wagon for sale. Looks exactly like a VC/VH era Commy with strange dual round headlights shoehorned where the Commy trapezoidal (?) lights go. This one has what look like HSV copy wheels with Vauxhall badging.
I took some photos on my phone, I'll put them up as soon as I can.

BTW I have no idea whether this is a real Vauxy or a Commy tarted up to suit his GME tastes. I believe this bloke may have had an Opel Manta previously 7 I've previously seen a nice little Vauxy Chevette tooling around locally. There cannot be too many grey import Vauxhall Fanciers around here!

Ok - here are the photos - evidently a 1987 Vauxhall Carlton

Re: Spotted!

Full credit for the lack of rust in the tailgate, but really, it's like preserving Bronwyn Bishops melon in a pickle jar. Quite the oddity but lordy, that face!

I understand now, why it did not sell. It looks terrible!
A race track down the road has a SSR convertible as their pace car, IT IS UGLY!

Ugh! I don't think so. I've seen it in person once. Just as stupid looking if you ask me.

Spotted on the 610 freeway in Houston last week...

Not exactly rare, but certainly eye-catching...
