    Scary vans

We had a discussion in the office about scary vans. People have a lot of names for them: PedoVans, Kidnapper Vans, psycho vans, etc. Proving that you can indeed find anything on the interwebz, I found a website devoted to scary vans.

    Sleep well tonight!

    Re: Scary vans

Haha, those are always great. My dad had basically always owned a Ford E150 my entire life. I think he had 2 different ones from around like 1977-80 until 2006. The second one he had since 88, when I was 4. He bought it like a company would with nothing on the inside and a sliding door.

Now if you didnt know him this could make it really sound like a scarry van:

There was sleeping room for 4 people in the car and it would only take around 5 seconds to convert the back bench into the beds. Also he and my mom made shades for each of the windows including the front. They would either roll down over the windows or snap in place around them. Man some interesting times could have happened in there.....

The other type of scary van is bare bones, beat up with no windows in the back. No murals here because the driver wants to keep a low profile. Unless you are a contractor or tradesman, only a serial killer or child molester would want to drive such a vehicle.

why would a sex predator drive a plain white van? Wouldn't like a fleet Cobalt or Impala be more low key?

yeah but when you are trying to "take a test drive" this would not be correct

If anyone saw the "It's always sunny in Philadelphia" season premiere last night Danny DeVitos character buys what he calls a "spy van" but everyone else nicknames it the "rape van", its a dark brown 1982 or so Econoline 250 without hubcaps and blackwalls, and of course triple limo tints, it's pretty funny.

Reminded me of this sweet ride too. Although, it isn't as scary if you've seen the show.

A van has plenty of space to 'do your business'. A Cobalt or Impala would be a bit cramped, not to mention all those pesky windows to show what is going on inside.
