Re: MotorWeek- 1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ Review
It's funny how that show has been just about the same presentation for all these years.
That's still a good handling car even by today's standards. It's just too bad that you can't find one of these around anymore and if you do it's usually beat to death. The Achieva SCX would be even more fun.

Re: MotorWeek- 1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ Review
Awww I like that car! 180 hp and 27 mpg... pretty decent numbers for 1990! I always liked the sleek look of the Beretta.
In one shot... when they're showing the power windows... you see how cheap and flimsy the center console bin cover is. Yikes!

Re: MotorWeek- 1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ Review
Oh yes, I always wanted one. I had the chance to buy one a few years ago. It was a 93 with 83,xxx miles, it was red/grey and was fully loaded. It was a friend of mines he was going to sell it to me for $2,250, and I tunred it down in intrest of another car. And I regret it unto this day! But the Berreta's were cool also, especially since you could get the 3.4/5-speed in those! The 3.4 with auto was the only combo in the Lumina, I think.

Re: MotorWeek- 1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ Review
Polite correction: no Twin Dual Cam in the Beretta, just the Lumina (auto and manual)

I haven't really watched Motorweek, but does anyone else find it amusing it seems like they told a dude to hop in and do as many things as possible as quickly as he can?

Dude! I had a base Calais and thought it was a very nice looking car for the day... the 442 was even more slick!

Re: MotorWeek- 1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ Review
i used to want one of those.
but it was damn near impossible to find one model year 1991-1994 (i wanted the quad 4 engine )1991+ was what i would have gone for due to the dash design (which looked way better than the older ones. I had a Corsica, i know what the design was like ![]()

An air pump lumbar control - can't say I have ever seen one of those before! I can't imagine they're very durable, either.
