FW: Let's go deer hunting in a BMW!!!
OK, this should be a quote because I took it right from my email. This is not a Z4 and the "deer" is more likely a fox.

Re: FW: Let's go deer hunting in a BMW!!!
that would explain the slight hint of Pensoil in those deer burgers still It's not too often a Deer actually gets sucked into the car normally they bounce off it and wreck the front fascia or whatever else they hit

Well, if my Cadillac training serves me, the attachment point where the loop is is required on cars sold in Europe so that they can be winched from the front.

Re: FW: Let's go deer hunting in a BMW!!!
So the car still ran, must have been small because thats not alot of damage.
Ah so whoever wants it can take it at anytime. Fair.

Re: FW: Let's go deer hunting in a BMW!!!
This is a fake. A good fake, but one none the less. BTW, the car shown is not a Z4; it is a new 3-er sedan.
what gives this away? The fact that the front bumper cover is dented rather than broken; the license plate gives this "denting" away. Also, if you look at the side engine shots, the deer guts and blood wouldn't have gotten past the seal at the rear of the engine bay; it seals with the hood of the car. <-- best illustraded in the last picture. -Chase

Re: FW: Let's go deer hunting in a BMW!!!
That sure doesn't look like a deer. Looks more like a dog...
It's a towing hook. It's compulsory on all cars sold in most European countries. Normally the hook is hidden behind a little pull-tab in the bumper. The hook normally isn't fitted to export cars. |

There's a picture of a Trailblazer with a Deer splattered all over the interior of the car...but this looks pretty nasty.

Used for towing the car or to tie it down. Check the bumper of most imported cars....you'll see a little square cut out. The hook also ties down the car if it's shipped here by boat. |

Re: FW: Let's go deer hunting in a BMW!!!
Thanks for filling me in...now what are the little covers underneath the headlights? I was thinking that's where optional washer fluid nozzles would be but I may be wrong...
Even at 140 mph, how could a deer be "sucked" into an opening so small? Anything can happen with a car hitting deer, especially at 140 mph, but deer tend to be taller than that. Seems like it would have went through the windshield and been arguably a lot uglier
