Re: Exploring area roads....
It snowed this morning, so I went out for a bit of exploring. I'm not sure where I went though. I tend to go "wherever the hood ornament is pointing", or in other words I drive around without a planned route. I also tend to get horribly lost, which I blame on the fact that the Taurus does not, in fact, have a hood ornament.
Here's a very general map of the area I was in. Most of the roads I was on are not pictured. ![]() I started out at the Fond Du Lac Yaht club. Lake Winnebago. Soon this will be frozen over completely, with a bunch of fishermen on it and an ice highway crossing it. ![]() The Lighthouse. ![]() The car. ![]() There are three windfarms surrounding Fond Du Lac. One directly South of the city near Lomira, one South-East near Eden, and this one near Pipe. ![]() ![]() There are 88 towers in this one, producing a total of 145MW. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The town ahead is Silica. ![]() Somewhere. I know I've been down that road before. ![]() P.S., Hooray for the return of cheap gas!

Re: Exploring area roads....
Really? I thought you lived Southwest of Fond Du Lac, towards Lomira.
Secondly you moved to California, you traitor! I'm curious as to why though. Did you at least leave that nice big Buick here? You had a nice backyard too.

Re: Exploring area roads....
Hey KR,
Cool pics! I had the older 4 MCs out today (Friday, November 28) and did some exploring myself. Seems the more I drive the roads I haven't been on, the more I "see" places I've been in my road trips...if that makes sense .Yep! I haven't been on that road in years, though. I need to get back there sometime...... |

If I don't go for a drive tomorrow then Thursday probably. Hopefully I'll remember the camera. P.S. What was with Car Talk last weekend? Why were they talking with that one girl? Did nobody have a car question?
