A couple of questions I need to ask.

Ok for one why can't automakers make a sports cars or coupe that has adult sized legroom and head room in the back seat? And also why can't they make an suv look cool as in an Escape looking like a mustang? And I am not just talking about putting a sloping roof on it I mean actually trying to make it look like a mustang. I should point out that I know it would be hard but it would be cool if someone used there brains and made it look right.

Re: A couple of questions I need to ask.

Well the first question has to do with the laws if physics and car design. Coupes tend to have more sloped rooflines, because that's part of the definition of a coupe in the car world. Like those 4-door coupes. They're not really coupes, they have 4-doors, but they have coupe-like rooflines.

To your second part. BMW tried it with the X6. I think it looks retarded and I've dubbed it "the answer to a question that nobody asked." It's mostly a matter of proportioning. Sports car proportions can't work on an SUV body.

Re: A couple of questions I need to ask.

Sports cars and coupes need to be short and wide, so there goes headroom. As for the SUVs:

I was going to try to explain that SUV are not sport cars. I like them to look like trucks, but the pictures explains it all.

The X6 is exactly what I was going to use. I hate [driving] SUV's with a passion and, if I'm going to be stuck with one, I like to go more with the Jeep Commander/Liberty square approach.

That might look better if the truck was lowered an inch or two.

The problem with putting a big back seat is it means your car has to have a "straight" profile like a 3-box sedan or a station wagon. But for a sports coupe you want a sloping profile that looks sexy. To make room in the back you will screw up the lines. Also to have a big back seat in a sporty car is no good because then it would be driven by all these family people and thus lose sex-appeal

Re: A couple of questions I need to ask.

So maybe someone should try a photoshop project that puts Mustang or Camaro with an Suv body.

He's pointing out that you used the wrong version of "their" in your original post. The fact that you used "there" incorrectly whilst chastizing people for not using their brains made the flub that much more delicious.

Iy's a sports car. There's really no need for a backseat in most cases.
A 911 has more than enough leg room for 6'3"+ adults... and enough room in the backseat for a briefcase.

There's also the X6. But how many of those do you see on the road?

That's a pet peeve of mine too. There, Their and They're all have their times to be used, but most people just put there in a sentance and think it's OK.
